On top of it, they have lost her security blanket, a fitted sheet, and a brand new pack of wipes, and clothes.
Loss of property, sending child home constantly without reason, charging me without a bill.
When I went to withdraw her from the school, I was told that I had a balance of $60. This was what they called the parent portion of the foster care bill. However, in the four months she was attending the school, I was never told I had a bill or that I owed any money. I have worked with numerous daycare facilities who do not charge foster parents an additional fee to have their children there, so it was not uncommon to not receive a bill.
Blessings and Love,
My foster daughter is not always the most pleasant child to deal with, and does have some temper tantrums. It was almost as if they were looking for excuses to get rid of her for the day.
My foster daughter suffers from GI issues and has a specialist. She has a special diet, which was explained to the school and is written on the paperwork. There have been numerous times that the child was fed foods that she has an allergy to, and on one occasion she was given expired Lactaid, and then sent home because she threw up or had diarrhea.
I had a 15 month old foster child in the school for 4 months. All was well while Jessica was her teacher, but a new teacher began working in the afternoon and during the summer and all of the sudden I was constantly getting calls to take my child home early.
Mrs. Tschappat
They were wonderful with my son.
I have taught for going on 23 years! The Lord sent me to Good Shepherd almost nine years ago. I LOVE this school and the teachers and staff that work here. The principal, Mrs. Hudnell, is the BEST principal I have ever worked for!! Our students are wonderful. Our classes are small, and we are a dedicated team!!! Come and join us at this five star school.
The school is making beautiful changes and the staff truly care about my child I love the fact that the teachers know my name and talk to me about the well-being of my daughter.
Most recently, she was sent home because she had a "low - grade fever," although they couldn't tell me the exact temperature. I immediately took her temperature when we got home and got a 97.1F reading. I was told I was not allowed to bring her back for 24 hours unless I had a doctor's note. I couldn't get her into a doctor for at least 24 hours anyway, but throughout that next day and the weekend she never once had a temperature above 98.6.
I have my three year old with Miss Jennifer in Pre-K and I'm just delighted with her! My daughter loves to go to school everyday and she comes home and sings the songs she's learned!
The staff truly cares. My daughter has been there for almost a year. I love the fact that they inform me when she is not feeling well. My complaint is that other parents don't care enough to keep sick children home. It's sad when you see children who are sick keep being brought back. Some parents truly need to stop and think rashes, diarrhea, and fevers deserve to stay home 24 hours.
It seems that they were a bit unprofessional and I was very dissatisfied with the way they handled my child toward the end.
